An Illustrated Saga
by L. S. Grace

The Quest:
Why would the greatest majician of the ancient world want to find a lesser one, a peasant one, – the Meshiach of defeated Judea?
The Majus, Hamar Mi-sha Baltshazar, has enough power even in the spin of one hand to erase men’s faces, – with a chant that is the last thing defiant wizards ever hear, he makes their brains shrink like a walnut inside their skulls. The great Elementals of Wind, Fire, Water, present themselves to Hamar when summoned. Yes, no less than Death, even Death itself, submits to Hamar!
World rulership awaits! War lords conquerable! Queens enslave-able! He’s ready.
But then comes the unexpected. What he, Hamar, cannot do is escape from the trap of the Arch-Fiend, – the ancient MASTER ABOVE ALL MASTERS whom Hamar never knew was out there…
…waiting.
